At a meeting of Coordinators from the Region of Murcia, held last December at the Government Delegation, the REMER Annual Activities Plan was approved. The plan designated "Cieza Flowering" as the activity to be developed in Zone 5, which encompasses the municipalities of Cieza, Abarán, Blanca, Ojós, Ricote, Villanueva del Río Segura, Ulea, Archena, Lorquí, Ceutí, Fortuna, and Abanilla. (The Network is composed of amateur radio operators, who also made international contacts through the Cieza Section with the special station ED5FDC.)

The exercise was carried out on March 16, 2019, from the "El Horno" area, beginning at 10:00 AM and ending at 12:00 PM. Once the necessary antennas and radio equipment were installed, transmissions began at 10-minute intervals. The exercise consisted of locating a broken-down vehicle whose driver did not know its location. The following coordinates were provided to those participating in the search: N 38° 14' 25'', and W 1° 30' 45'' (altitude 198 meters).
The day was splendid, and colleagues from Zone 30, Region of Murcia, participated, as well as those from neighboring provinces: Zone 03, Alicante, and Zone 02, Albacete. At the end of the exercise, 14 units from REMER Zone 30 and 1 from Zone 02, Albacete, arrived at the coordinates. Once there, at the "El Horno" site, they were surprised and amazed by the incomparable spectacle of the Cieza Flowering, a vibrant display of color, light, and people.
