As part of the activities for the 2nd Cieza History Conference, Cieza City Council and the University of the University of Cieza (UMU) organized the photography exhibition "El Menjú: Cultural Heritage of Cieza" by Lorena Martínez Martínez. Following its previous exhibition and as a summer showcase, the works are returning to the Siyâsa Museum in Cieza.
The exhibition is curated by María Dolores Piñera Ayala from Cieza. With this project, Lorena Martínez seeks to unite, through photomontage, a selection of sixteen photographs taken during fieldwork carried out on the El Menjú estate with historical photographic archives of its architectural elements and of people who lived and visited the site, generating new and unusual visions of the estate.
The exhibition can be visited at the Siyâsa Museum in Cieza, at 17 San Sebastián Street, until August 18, from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
