This cleaning plan, in which several BRIF brigades also recently collaborated, will be made up of the companies Aguas de Cieza and Entorno Urbano, the Department of Services, Firefighters and farmers of the municipality and will be coordinated by the Department of Circular Economy, Local Police and Civil Protection.

It is also announced that any work affecting public roads will be announced in advance via loudspeaker for the information of occasional passersby.

Due to the entry into force of Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14, which declares the state of alarm for the management of the health crisis situation caused by COVID-19 (hereinafter RD 463/2020), the Department of Circular Economy launched from the first day an extraordinary protocol to intensify cleaning and disinfection work.

The disinfection tasks, which in the first phase have included a crash plan carried out by personnel from the companies that provide street cleaning and waste collection services, Aguas de Cieza and Entorno Urbano respectively, cover on the one hand those areas that will continue to have a significant influx as their use is permitted by the Royal Decree, both public spaces such as health centers, hospital, markets, social services building, street furniture, especially containers, as well as the surroundings of all those private commercial premises included in article 10 of the Royal Decree and whose opening continues to be permitted, such as supermarkets, pharmacies, tobacconists and ATMs among others.

During the last few days, the Cieza City Council, through the Department of Circular Economy, has received various proposals and offers of collaboration from different groups and public entities to collaborate and join these tasks, for the extension of cleaning and disinfection measures in a more generalized way to other spaces in the urban center, even making available in a selfless way the means and resources to carry them out.

Therefore, and in order to coordinate efforts and make them more effective, the Cieza City Council has developed a cleaning and disinfection plan that will be in effect throughout the state of emergency. This plan will expand beyond the previously mentioned areas to include other parts of the city, aiming to maintain the highest possible levels of disinfection. This cleaning plan, which recently involved several BRIF (Forest Fire Reinforcement Brigade) teams, will be implemented by the companies Aguas de Cieza and Entorno Urbano, the Department of Services, the Fire Department, and local farmers. It will be coordinated by the Department of Circular Economy, the Local Police, and Civil Protection.

It is also announced that any work affecting public roads will be announced in advance via loudspeaker for the information of occasional passersby.
