The director and head of studies of the Maestro Gómez Villa Professional Music Conservatory, Patricia Dato, and Daniel Meseguer, along with the Councilor for Education of the Cieza City Council, María Turpín, presented the third edition of Music Week, the program of which will run from November 20 to 23.
"For another year, and this is the third year, the conservatory takes to the streets to celebrate the feast of Saint Cecilia through a series of concerts that will take place in various public spaces throughout the city. This year, for the first time, we've included the Príncipe de Asturias Park as one of the scheduled activities," Dato explained.
For her part, the Councilor for Education said that the program reflected in the promotional poster for Music Week "symbolizes the work of the teachers who make up the conservatory's staff. It's a privilege for me to accompany its director and head of studies at the presentation. Congratulations on the program you've put together."
Program of Activities
The activities will begin on November 20th with a concert by the Carmelo Gómez Templado Band, which is made up of students from the first to third years of vocational education. The concert will take place at 5:30 p.m. in the Plaza Mayor. Two and a half hours later, the Carmelo Gómez Templado Auditorium will host a talk and concert by pianists Alejandro Rubio and José Alberto del Cerro.
There are two unmissable events on the 22nd: a performance by the Conservatory Orchestra and Choir at the Padre Salmerón Municipal Library at 5:30 p.m., and a concert by the Maestro Gómez Villa Band, made up of students from 4th to 6th year of vocational education, at the Capitol Theater at 8:00 p.m.
The 2nd Chamber Music Series will be held at the Siyâsa Museum on November 21 and 23, starting at 7:30 p.m. Meanwhile, Príncipe de Asturias Park will host a concert by the Municipal Music School's Choirs and Band on November 23 at 5:00 p.m.
