The Cieza City Council has received numerous complaints from residents in different areas of the municipality regarding the nuisance and danger caused by the custom of feeding animals, specifically pigeons, in public spaces.

For this reason, the Department of Health reminds all citizens of their obligation to comply with the municipal ordinance on street cleaning and domestic waste management of the Cieza City Council, in relation to Article 10. Rights and duties of citizens, in point 3 letter n) clearly states that "It is prohibited to feed animals on public roads, especially pigeons, dogs and cats.

And in accordance with the provisions of Article 46. Sanctions. of the aforementioned Ordinance, regarding sanctions, this infraction is considered minor and may be punished with a fine of between €30 and €150. Therefore, it is recalled that feeding pigeons in public spaces is prohibited and that Local Police officers will be responsible for ensuring proper compliance with the Municipal Ordinance on Street Cleaning and Household Waste Management of the Cieza City Council.
