For Francisco Saorín, head of the Department of Public Services and Works, "one of the shortcomings we've been experiencing for many years in our municipality is the poor street name signage, which has suffered over time as a result of the deterioration, breakage, or removal of existing signs."

Municipal sources affirm that this is why, from the moment Saorín assumed responsibility for Services, "they began working in this direction, preparing the corresponding study to identify these deficiencies, with the aim of addressing them in the short term."

More than four hundred plaques have been identified for placement in the city center, given that other areas such as Ascoy, Los Prados, and El Búho were previously subject to new signage.

Their characteristics are traditional and their cost amounts to 6,050 euros. "They will clearly benefit the general public, given that this work will cover every street intersection in our city's urban center," the councilor asserts.

For Saorín, this intervention also involves "solving other problems detected, correcting errors or discrepancies with the official names on some of the existing plaques, with the collaboration and participation of both the public and other stakeholders such as the postal service, courier services, police, etc."
