According to the Department of Finance, the Second Section of the High Court of Justice of the Region of Murcia recently issued a ruling in favor of the City Council and ordered the opposing party to pay costs. The party had sued the City Council requesting a new revaluation of the V6 land and an increase in its price, specifically seeking €4.6 million plus interest. This is the last remaining claim in the V6 case, and could be appealed.

Finance Councillor Antonio Martínez-Real expressed his satisfaction with the court ruling, as it is clear that "we have already paid more than enough for these lands, and it makes no sense to increase their value again. Although it is obvious and fair, there is always some uncertainty in legal proceedings, so now we are more at ease with the ruling."

We must recall the penultimate ruling in this matter, which condemned the City Council and caused it to enter into a situation of budgetary instability by having to take on an obligation of 5 million euros, 2 of which was in interest caused by the inaction of the PP in government, which, in addition to failing to meet its obligations, generating more interest, breached the amicable agreement signed with the litigants, which gave rise to new lawsuits."

Finally, he highlights "the good work and professionalism of the municipal legal services, which have been responsible for defending this matter, which has also resulted in significant savings for the municipal coffers."
