The 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center of the Region of Murcia received a call at 18:19h. reporting that a child had been run over on C/ Mesones in the municipality of Cieza.
Reports indicate that tourists are in the area following the incident; the child suffered a severe blow. He is a 10-year-old boy.
Local police officers from Cieza and an ambulance from the 061 Emergency and Urgent Healthcare Management (an ambulance from the Emergency Service) arrived at the scene and, after attending to the child on site, proceeded to transfer him to the La Vega Lorenzo Guirao University General Hospital.
The child presents with a head injury without loss of consciousness pending evaluation at a hospital center.
