Last Saturday, the 28th, at 2:13 p.m., the Murcia 1-1-2 Emergency Coordination Center received a rescue call for a person who was in poor condition while hiking through the Almadenes Canyon, in the mountainous area of the municipality of Cieza.

An Environmental Agent, a Civil Guard officer, an ambulance from the 061 Emergency Medical Service, and a helicopter from the Ministry of the Presidency, along with the Air Rescue Group of the Murcia Region Firefighting and Rescue Consortium, were dispatched to the scene.

After managing to move the 63-year-old man to a clearing for medical assistance, he was rescued by the brigade and treated by medical personnel, who transferred him by Mobile Emergency Unit to the Virgen de la Arrixaca University Hospital in Murcia with a diagnosis of thromboembolism.
