The Brotherhood of Our Lady of Grace and Hope of Cieza has issued an official statement on its social media channels announcing the cancellation of the activities scheduled for this Sunday, January 28, 2018.
OFFICIAL STATEMENT
We inform you that following the rain that fell in our town throughout the night and into Sunday morning, we have been forced to suspend the Solidarity Mantle Day.
The fact that we were unable to set up the PA systems, and that the panels where the drawings were to be displayed were soaked, combined with the poor weather forecast, led us to cancel the event.
All children who have completed their drawing can hand it in to their school. Next Friday, members of the school board will collect them to commemorate your efforts.
We regret having made this decision, both for the sake of a wonderful event and for the ACIFAD association, which was the beneficiary this year. However, the minimum conditions for its implementation were not met to achieve the optimal levels of satisfaction achieved in previous years.
Despite everything, and in our commitment to solidarity, the Brotherhood will continue to donate to the ACIFAD association.
