Víctor Marín visited the Diego Tortosa Secondary School this Tuesday morning to learn about its facilities and the demands of the school's director. The councilor was accompanied by the mayor, Tomás Rubio, and the councilor for education, María Turpín.
The acting Education Minister, Víctor Marín, held a working meeting this morning with the new mayor of Cieza, Tomás Rubio Carrillo, at the town hall. At the meeting, held at the Mayor's Office, the mayor presented a list of educational needs to the regional government official seeking the support and collaboration of the Autonomous Community. These are a set of requests gathered during various meetings with management teams and parent-teacher associations (AMPAs) of Cieza's schools.
After the meeting, the new mayor and Marín, accompanied by María Turpín, head of Education for the Cieza City Council, went to the Diego Tortosa Secondary School, where Tomás Rubio Carrillo has taught for more than 30 years.
The acting councilor took note of the needs of this school, where more than 1,500 Ciezan students attend secondary and high school.
