The last matchday before the Christmas break saw mixed results for our teams.
The day began with a visit from BENJAMIN MIXED To Archena. A physically uneven duel, as they faced an all-male opponent. Our boys and girls didn't flinch, never letting up and enjoying a morning of basketball, although this time they weren't able to achieve victory.
In the same town our boys from MALE CADET They faced a difficult match due to injuries. Panos had only six players in this age group available to face a match in which the opponent had all their players, and they pushed from the first to the last second. Furthermore, there was only one referee and one teammate, something unusual in matches of this age group. That said, the character of these kids was enviable; they never lost face in the match, and despite trailing from the opening moments, they pulled within 5 points with three minutes left, setting off all the alarm bells in the arena.
It wasn't to be; personal fouls and fatigue led them to lose the match 57-40. When you give your all for this jersey, failure doesn't exist; that's our club's philosophy.
In the afternoon, a double round of matches and victories took place at the Juan José Angostos Arena. The afternoon began with the staging of the CHILDREN'S MALE AROMAIS SIYASA, facing Calasparra. Our boys put in an explosive start, with great defense and a variety of offensive systems that overwhelmed their opponents, ending the first quarter with a clear 23-5 lead. A slack and lack of concentration in the second quarter prevented them from closing out the game in the first 20 minutes. After the break, the momentum returned, and there was only one color on the court: the blue of the Siyasa boys. The final victory was 69-40.
Then another gale hit the track, the leaders of the competition FEMALE CADET. The girls of our SAORÍN CONSULTING They gave Torrea Bérera's players no chance. From the first minute, our girls' technical, tactical, and physical superiority was evident, leading them to a resounding 82-16 victory. This victory keeps them at the top of the competition for another round.
On Sunday afternoon the girls traveled from SAORÍN SIYASA CONSULTANCY To San Javier. A poor performance from our players, who were outclassed by their opponents at every turn. The home team's success from the three-point line, while the Cieza team's inaccuracy in easy situations, soon made it clear that the result wasn't going to be good. A resounding defeat for our girls, now it's time to keep working and reach the level this team has reached.
The club organizes on December 27, 28 and 29 our CHRISTMAS CAMPUS. It will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Juan José Angostos pavilion and costs 30 euros. If you want to learn basketball, sign up at clubsiyasabasket.es and siyasabasket@gmail.com.
