The Cieza City Council's Women's Department has confirmed that a grant from the regional government will be used to increase security measures at the shelter located in Cieza, serving women victims of gender-based violence.

Councilor Amparo Pino has confirmed that the goal is to install a security camera that will allow for greater and more comprehensive surveillance to prevent potentially dangerous situations and guarantee the physical safety of the women sheltered.

On Saturday, the BORM (Regional Regional Government of Murcia) published the decree regulating the direct granting of these subsidies to municipalities in the Region of Murcia for investment in shelters, as part of the urgent state-wide measures for the implementation of the State Pact against Gender-Based Violence.
