This Thursday, February 21, at 8:00 p.m. in the CIMA building in Abarán, the 5th Research and Dissemination Conference on Abarán and the Ricote Valley will be presented to the media and anyone interested in attending. This event will be held in Abarán, Blanca, Cieza and Ricote for eight days in February, March and April 2019.

The program, which will be officially announced on that daya, includes twenty-five presentations and two technical outings given by specialists in the cultural and natural heritage of Abarán and the rest of the municipalities of the Ricote Valley (Archena, Blanca, Cieza, Ojós, Ricote, Ulea and Villanueva del Río Segura), as well as by experts in other scientific and educational fields within these municipalities. Attendees will also be able to enjoy the music of the historic Ricote organ and a screening of the film "Desarraigo: Una historia del Valle de Ricote".

As in previous editions, attendance is free until capacity is reached. Participation in the two guided tours requires prior registration by email or phone.

The "La Carrahila" Cultural Association and the Organizing and Scientific Committee would like to express their gratitude to all the researchers who, on a voluntary basis, will present the findings of their studies at this forum. They also thank Jesús Gómez Montiel, from Abarán, who created the poster for the fifth edition, and all the institutions and companies that make it possible.
