A work by Alberto Márquez Ruiz has won first prize in the 8th National Open-Air Painting Competition "Rincones de Cieza," organized by the Department of Culture and sponsored by various local businesses. The winner received 1,000 euros donated by Aguas de Cieza.

The second prize, established by the rules, of 700 euros and donated by the Benedicto Service Station, went to Blay Tomás Ibáñez.

Meanwhile, the third prize, 600 euros donated by Agroquímicos Lucas, went to María Teresa Durá Sepulcre.

A fourth prize, worth 500 euros donated by Farmacia Joquín Jordán, was also awarded to a work by David Escalbajal Aguado.

Finally, the special prize for a local artist went to Francisco Moreno Gómez, who won 200 euros, donated by Irel, and a season ticket to the Capitol Theatre.

The jury was pleased to award a second prize of 100 euros, donated by Farmacia Joaquín Jordán, to José Luis Angulo Crossa, leaving the work as the author's property.

The jury comprised María Ángeles Sáez Sánchez, Antonia Fernández Bernal, Rafael Torres Buitrago, Higinio Martínez Morote, and Jesús Moreno Guardiola, with Bartolomé Avellaneda López as secretary.
