The 2025 Vuelta a Murcia race will pass through Cieza this Saturday, February 15, entering via the N-301 from Venta del Olivo through the Polígono del Búho, continuing along Gran Vía to the intersection with Antonio Machado Street, then taking Camino de Madrid and Juego de Bolos Street as the route to the Puente de Hierro, and then beginning its journey along the Carretera de Mula through Maripinar.
The runners are expected to arrive from 12:30 p.m. to 1:20 p.m.

The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fuensanta, a symbol of devotion and one of Murcia's most emblematic landmarks, was the chosen setting for the presentation of the 2025 Vuelta Ciclista a la Región de Murcia. The event was attended by the Councilor for Sports, Miguel Ángel Noguera; the Regional Minister for Culture, Tourism, Youth, and Sports, Carmen Conesa; the General Director of the Vuelta Ciclista, Francisco Guzmán; the Mayor of Jumilla, Seve González; the Councilor for Citizen Security, Fulgencio Perona; and the Councilor for Young Talent and Public Spaces, Sofía López-Briones.
A tour of excitement and spectacle
The race, which will take place next Saturday, will start in Jumilla, passing through iconic towns such as Cieza, Mula, Sierra Espuña, and Alcantarilla, culminating in an exciting finish in the city of Murcia. With intermediate sprints in Mula and El Palmar, and a decisive climb up the dreaded Cresta del Gallo, located just 12 kilometers from the finish line, this edition promises to be one of the most hotly contested in recent years.
This year's layout will make Murcia a special centerpiece in the year it commemorates its 1200th anniversary, with a circuit that will wind through its streets and culminate with an exciting finish on the Gran Vía Escultor Salzillo.
A global showcase for Murcia
The race will bring together 20 teams, including six prestigious World Teams such as the UAE Team, Movistar Team, and Astana, and will feature cyclists from 25 different nationalities. Among them will be the talented Murcians Antonio Jesús Soto, Rubén Fernández, José María García, José Luis Faura, Álvaro García, and César Pérez, along with the expected presence of Nairo Quintana, winner of the Vuelta a Murcia in 2012 and one of the leading figures in the world peloton.
The day's excitement can be followed live for two hours on Eurosport, TDP, and La 7, with international coverage in 54 countries and more than 20 languages, elevating Murcia's reputation to the top of global cycling.
