12th Photography Contest "Flowering in Cieza"

The City Council, through the Departments of Tourism and Museums headed by Amparo Belmonte, with the collaboration of the CAF Cieza Photographic Association, within the activities that on the occasion of the Flowering held in Cieza to promote tourism in the city, agrees to hold this competition, in accordance with the rules that establish that any person residing in Spain (regardless of their nationality), as well as any foreigner, may participate. Participation in the competition implies acceptance of each and every one of the competition rules, as well as the jury and its decision.

Regarding the competition, digital files will be accepted, and the subject matter of the photographs must be appropriate to the contest theme: "Blossoming in Cieza." The photographs must depict any aspect that reflects this unique multicolored phenomenon: landscapes, activities, or any other aspect that the photographer considers closely related to the contest theme. Special consideration will be given to photographs contextualized in emblematic or recognizable landscapes of the town. The jury reserves the right to exclude any works it deems unsuitable for the contest theme.

Already published photographs will not be selected.

Participants may submit a maximum of five works, all of which have not won awards in previous editions of this photography contest or in other photography competitions. Photographs that have been previously reproduced in the press, catalogs, posters, or any other type of publication will not be selected. Photographs may not be signed by their authors.

Participation is exclusively in digital format and will be done through the website: www.cafcieza.com in JPG format, with a maximum of 1,920 pixels for the longest side and 1,280 for the shortest side at 72 dpi. The file cannot exceed 2 MB. Finalist works, after being announced, must be submitted at 254 dpi and a size of 60 x 40 cm to be included in the exhibition.

The deadline for submissions is January 31, 2024. The exhibition of the works in this competition will be held from February to March 17, 2024, during the flowering period.
