Continuing with the club's ongoing activity, four cadet players (Daniela, Paula, Ainhoa, and Candela) and one junior player (Carmen) formed part of a team with Molina Basket cadet players to participate in the Christmas tournament in the town of Caravaca.

The project was born from the excellent relationship between the two clubs, providing an extraordinary experience for the girls.

The tournament was held on December 29 and 30, under the name "XI Francisco Fernández Torralba Christmas Tournament" in the town of Caravaca de la Cruz, hosting a total of 24 teams divided into the male and female cadet categories, and male and female junior categories.

This tournament is already a benchmark in the southern peninsula, featuring teams from the Valencian Community, Andalusia, and Murcia. It also offers two-day accommodations and stays in various local hotels, an opportunity our girls took advantage of to experience a few intense days of basketball.

In the first phase, our team was drawn in Group B with Teixereta (Alicante) and Cb Pedreger. This phase concluded with one win and one loss, securing a place in the semifinals as group runners-up.

The best match of the tournament was played against Salesianos de Valencia, a powerful team ranked first in Group A. Our girls put in a tremendous performance, securing a place in the final against Teixereta.

A thrilling finish saw the Molina-Siyasa team build up a 10-point lead by the end of the third quarter. A final push by the Alicante girls allowed them to take the victory. However, the best reward is the experience gained and the togetherness over two intense days.

We would like to congratulate the Caravaca Basketball Club for the organization and high level of play in the tournament, and we would also like to thank the Molina Basket sports management and coaching staff for their warm welcome and the support they provided to help us carry out this fabulous project.

Another success for local women's basketball, with a new trophy now in our display cabinets thanks to the kindness of Molina Basket. We continue working across all levels of the club to achieve new successes in 2024.

From the club, we want to wish all the people of Cieza a Happy New Year and promise lots and lots of basketball for the coming year.
