"The 'Advance Toward Your Future' project has already begun, its main objective being to promote the employability of 10 people with disabilities in the town of Cieza through training as service assistants," reports the Department of Employment.

The training activity developed and delivered by FAMDIF/COCEMFE-MURCIA is funded through the Operational Program for Social Inclusion and Social Economy (POISES) 2014-2020. Co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF). Thematic Objective 9, Investment Priority 9.1. Specific Objective 9.1.2 relates to increasing the hiring of people with disabilities who are at risk of exclusion or who are in a situation of exclusion. The training course includes 300 hours of specific training for the occupation of Service Assistant, cross-curricular training, individual tutoring and job guidance, and support for job placement. It also includes 100 hours of in-person training.

The theoretical training is being conducted at INFOEM, a facility provided by the Cieza City Council, thanks to the agreement signed in 2019 with FAMDIF/COCEMFE-MURCIA on employment and training. With the goal of achieving the highest rate of job placements, FAMDIF/COCEMFE-MURCIA will conduct a business prospecting program in the Cieza area, contacting and visiting companies in the Vega Alta del Segura region and the rest of the Region of Murcia.
