The Cieza Association 'La Convocatoria' will, as is traditional, announce the beginning of Lent with the beating of its drums and the sound of its bass drums. It will be this coming Wednesday the 6th, Wednesday of Ash, at 9:00 p.m. in the Plaza Mayor of #Cieza.
Drummers from other parts of the Murcia region, including Torres de Cotillas and Jumilla, will accompany the Cieza drums and bass drums in "La Rompida" (The Rompida) and the subsequent parade through Cieza's old town. The parade will run as follows: Plaza Mayor, El Cid, Los Pinos, Calle Larga, Buitragos, San Sebastián, Mesones, Calle Angostos, and Canovas del Castillo, ending in the Plaza Mayor. The authorized time is from 6:00 p.m. to midnight.
